¿Sus servidores proxy son lentos o la IP ya es problemática?

Are Your Proxies Slow or Is the IP Already Problematic? Check the Quality in 2 Minutes

A proxy can connect and open the target website - but that does not mean everything is working properly.

The IP may be detected in a different country, belong to a data center instead of a mobile operator, appear on blacklists or have an excessively high response time. A misconfigured browser may also expose your real IP through DNS or WebRTC.

Therefore, it is best to check the proxy yourself before launching ads, logging into an account or collecting data at scale.

Which Tools to Use

i.pn shows which IP websites actually see and helps you check:

  • the country and city;
  • the ISP, organization and ASN;
  • the IP type - mobile, residential or corporate;
  • hosting, proxy and mobile network indicators;
  • whether the IP appears in available blacklist databases.

This is a quick way to determine whether the actual location matches the stated one and whether the connection looks natural for your task.

checker.net is suitable for a technical check of the proxy itself. The service determines:

  • whether the IP works;
  • whether the required protocol is supported;
  • its response time;
  • whether the address appears in blacklist databases;
  • whether Facebook, Google, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and other platforms can be accessed through it;
  • the proxy's final rating.

You can also add your own URL and check access specifically to the website you plan to use.

Step 1. Connect the Proxy

Add the proxy to an anti-detect browser, system settings or your working application.

Before connecting, note your regular IP. After connecting, it should change to the proxy's IP address.

For an accurate check, use the same profile and configuration you will use later. Testing in one browser and launching ads in another will not show the real picture.

Step 2. Open i.pn

Check four key parameters:

1. GEO

The country must match the one you ordered. The city may vary slightly across geolocation databases but a different region or country is a reason to replace the IP.

2. ISP and ASN

Check who owns the network. For a mobile proxy, a mobile operator should be detected; for residential, a home ISP; for corporate, a data center or hosting company.

3. IP Type

The stated proxy type should match the actual one. Do not use a corporate IP for a task where the platform expects natural mobile or residential traffic.

4. Reputation

Pay attention to blacklists and additional proxy or hosting indicators. One such signal does not always make an IP unusable but several matches significantly increase the risk of CAPTCHAs, restrictions and additional checks.

Step 3. Check the Proxy with checker.net

Enter the proxy in the following format:

protocol://login:password@host:port

Select Full check, set a reasonable timeout and add the required platforms or your own URL.

Focus on:

  • connection status;
  • response time;
  • whether the IP appears in blacklist databases;
  • availability of the target services;
  • the final rating.

Important: response time is the response latency, not the connection's full download speed. For advertising and account work, a stable response time is often more important than peak megabits per second.

Do not test an IP just once. Run several tests in a row. If the response time is 300 ms now, 2 seconds a minute later and then the connection drops, such a proxy cannot be considered stable.

Do Not Forget About DNS and WebRTC

checker.net checks the proxy as a network endpoint but not your browser configuration.

To rule out leaks, open BrowserLeaks or IPLeak inside your working profile and make sure that:

  • WebRTC does not show your real public IP;
  • the DNS servers do not point to your home ISP;
  • IPv6 does not bypass the proxy;
  • the browser time zone does not conflict with the proxy GEO.

A DNS leak occurs when domain requests are sent through the real ISP's DNS servers while WebRTC may expose an additional browser IP if misconfigured.

SX.org Tip

Test not just one random IP but a series of 5-10 addresses from the same pool.

Compare:

  • the average response time;
  • the number of connection errors;
  • whether the GEO and network type match;
  • availability of the required platform;
  • sticky session stability;
  • IP behavior after rotation.

A high-quality pool is not one fast address. It delivers predictable results across the entire sample.

Do not change the IP during an active account session unless necessary. For login, payment actions and work with an advertising account, it is better to use a stable sticky session and rotate between separate tasks.

SX.org proxies are checked against the same criteria: GEO, network type, reputation, availability and connection stability.

Check the IP before launch - it takes a few minutes but helps you avoid wasting budget on poor-quality traffic and searching for the reason behind a block after it has already happened.
